Curiosity
We encourage young people to ask questions about the world they live in.
WHO WE ARE · SINCE 2007
We believe every student can be a researcher—and every community challenge can spark an important question.
THE SOCIETY
The Society for the Promotion of Science and Technology (SOCPROTECH) encourages scientific research in education across Nigeria. We help secondary school students identify environmental and community problems, develop scientific solutions, and share their work beyond the classroom.
Our international programmes connect young people to science fairs and research competitions in other countries. Along the way, students encounter new methods, meet fellow innovators and represent Nigeria through their ideas.
Encourage inquiry. Support student research. Help promising ideas travel further.
WHAT GUIDES US
We encourage young people to ask questions about the world they live in.
We value research, thoughtful testing and learning from what does—and doesn’t—work.
We start with real needs and imagine solutions that can matter close to home.
We create opportunities for Nigerian students to learn and share across borders.
A LONG VIEW
Our archive traces student project work and international delegations from Indonesia and Brazil to Turkey. We continue to build opportunities for the next generation of Nigerian researchers.
